Abundance World Has a Long-Term Goal🌿

Abundance World is building a nature recovery center for queer folx post-gender-affirming surgery. This will bridge a huge need for trans folks that is currently filled with socioeconomic barriers.

This center will reawaken the human spirit through allyship, redefining family, surfacing truth, creating belonging, and reuniting with nature's abundance.

Think:

You're post surgery and just waking up.
You're groggy, stomach sick and have no idea how long it's been.
Suddently -- the sounds of birdsong rushes into your ears
You look out the floor-ceiling window and immediately befriend a beautiful willow tree
You see your partner, pet and friends wandering beyond the willow taking in the fresh air of the forest garden. They are staying in one of the splendid family homes on the acreage.
A few days later, under the care of fabulous medical team, you can sit outside and take in the fresh air for yourself. Feel the sun on your face. Breathe a little deeper and relax, content in your recovery.
Everything is taken care of for you here. Nature guides your healing.
A few weeks later, before leaving, you plant a seed in the community garden of rebirth.
A year later, you come back as a mentor for someone else who is going through the same surgery you had.

Frankie's Story

A former elite athlete and kinesiologist (2014), Frankie started their career in the physical movement and exercise physiology industry, focusing on helping women & youth elite teams perform in sport. They soon realized that, though movement was a huge piece of the healing puzzle, focusing just on the physical body is not enough to live well.

After ushering their father into the afterlife in 2012, Frankie's spirituality became more prevalent. Nature became their nurture. Grief, trauma, depression, and anxiety became confidants.

They then studied at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (2019), where they completed a special part of their internship in naturopathic mental health care. A lifetime practitioner of body scans and visualization in the sport psychology sense, Frankie's two interests collided.

Post-covid-19 pandemic, Frankie's passion for individual physical and mental wellness met ecological and spiritual holism, and Abundance World was born.

Along the way, Frankie chose not to practice as an ND and focused their efforts on getting rooted, helping individuals and groups with getting to know themselves through nature.

Their quest for decolonizing their practice led them to study lineage and discover Celtic nature spirituality - modern Druidry.

Frankie believes that there is room for science in spirit, and room for spirit in science. The two cannot exist without the other. After having followed a rigorous athletic and academic path, Frankie also received training in Reiki (level II), trauma sensitive practice, and nature spirituality (Bardic journey, Druidry). Their experience living as trans / gender-expansive has opened their eyes to non-duality & unity consciousness.

Tkaronto is the traditional territory and meeting place of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. Tkaronto is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit & Metis people and is a place where many global cultures live work and play.

Abundance World seeks to work with Turtle Island's First Nations to knowledge-share, respect, and to promote two-eyed seeing (the Mi'kmaq concept of connecting indigenous and western worldviews together to create a better world for all).

We work on stolen land. There are estimates of over 100 million people in the Celtic diaspora. Abundance World seeks to connect folks (via nature) back to their roots (pre-colonization) -- to enable core wound healing for those with ancestry who were colonized and displaced by the colonial empire.

We are re-writing what abundance and prosperity means.

Queer & Trans folks are familiar with the struggle. We owe it to our warrior ancestors who fought for rights and freedoms in a world far less abundant than our current one. We take up the work where they left off.
